Hello Students, Parents and the TC Community!
The Timber Creek Wolves Athletic Department would like to announce their monthly contest for the 2017 Athletic Season brought to you by Gator’s Dockside of Waterford Lakes. Each month the Timber Creek coaches select a member of their team that best exemplifies a Wolf Student Athlete. There is an emphasis on each of the players being an exemplary athlete, student, teammate, and community member. This year we will be recognizing individual male and female student athletes of the month. The winners will be chosen by the number of votes cast on our website. Voting for the Gators Student Athletes of the Month will run from Thursday, 10/5 and will end on Thursday, 10/12 at 6PM. The winning student athletes will be recognized on our website, awarded a full size action poster of the athlete, receive a certificate of recognition and a receive a gift from Gators Dockside of Waterford Lakes. Congratulations to the following nominees that were chosen for consideration for the month of September:
Female Student Athlete Nominees
Sophia is considered one of the top 10 players in Girls Golf within the Central Florida Area. She has averaged a score of 37 in the six matches she has played in this year which is only one over par which is outstanding. She also maintains a heavy school workload including several AP Classes.
Calissa Monk (Jr), Cross Country
Calissa recently moved to Timber Creek from Illinois and in a short time has made herself a staple of the girls cross country team. One of the biggest parts of integrating into her new life here in Florida, has been learning to run in our outrageously hot temperatures in the afternoon. Calissa has done an amazing job, starting the season with a time of 23:51 and currently has dropped her time by an minute and placing 30th overall with a time of 22:59. Calissa is also taking a full load of honors and AP courses and maintains 3.9 GPA.
Jenna is one of the captains for the girls varsity volleyball team. She plays outside hitter and is currently hitting .309 with 169 kills and 101 digs. She is currently leading the district in kills this season. Jenna is an absolute competitor. She makes everyone around her better with her work ethic and competitiveness. Jenna also maintains a 3.9 GPA while taking several AP and Honors courses.
Diego ended last year’s cross country season, struggling with injury and being the alternate on the 2016 championship team. Over the summer, Diego put in quality work and rehab for his knee and has started this season being a clear leader not only in the races but in encouragement towards his teammates. At the season opener, Diego ran a personal record time of 17:48 for the 5K, a full 32 seconds faster than he ran in the 2016 season. Diego has continued to put in hard work, finishing first for the team in every race as well as placing overall in the top 5% amongst the competition of 200+ runners. At this point in the season, Diego has continued to race well, shaving off almost another full minute from his personal record time which is now 16:54 for the 5K. All the while being a leader on and off the course, Diego maintains a 4.03 weighted GPA taking both honors and AP courses.

He has 52 total solo tackles, 13 assisted tackles and 5 tackles for a loss. Parker is a very soft spoken young man who is very well respected by his coaches, teammates and teachers. He takes multiple AP/Honors classes and maintains a 4.4 GPA. Parker is also a part of the PIT Crew at Timber Creek where he volunteers his time helping students with special needs.
