The Timber Creek Athletic Department would like to recognize and congratulate senior, Ethan Morales and sophomore, Brooke McCann on being voted as our Male and Female Gator’s Student Athletes of the Month for February. They both exemplified what it is to be a true “Student Athlete” on the field and in the classroom with their hard work, sportmanship and teamwork.
Gator’s Male Student Athlete of the Month
Ethan Morales (Sr), Volleyball
Position | Setter
Ethan was nominated by Coach Stevens. Ethan is a four year varsity starter as a setter and captain on the boys volleyball team. He recently broke the school record for career assists after contributing 43 assists against Spruce Creek last week. He currently has 1,749 assists in his career. The previous record was set 15 years ago. Not only does he contribute on the volleyball court, but he is a standout in the classroom as well. He takes multiple AP and honors classes while maintaining a 3.2 unweighted GPA. Ethan is also an audio engineer for Wolf TV.
Ethan has been playing volleyball for last 5 years. He also practices martial arts and has a black belt in Taekwondo. Ethan is looking to continue his education and athletic career in college and plans on majoring in Sports Medicine. In his free time, he enjoys volunteering with the middle school volleyball teams.

Gator’s Female Student Athlete of the Month
Brooke McCann (So), Softball
Position | Shortstop
Brooke was nominated by Coach Williams. Brooke is varsity’s starting shortstop and is hitting .467 on the season and leads the team in RBI’s. She has collected a hit in every game the team has played. Brooke takes various honors and AP courses at Timber Creek while maintaining a remarkable 3.8 GPA.
Brooke has been playing softball for the past 7 years. She played volleyball as well in middle school. She plans on attending college to play softball and looks to major in physical therapy. She has five siblings and enjoys hanging out with her family in her free time.
