Girls Varsity Softball · April Spotlight | Lindsey Hendrix, Gators Student Athlete of the Month

The Timber Creek Athletic Department would like to recognize and congratulate junior, Lindsey Hendrix on being voted as the Gator’s Student Athletes of the Month for April. She exemplified what it is to be a true “Student Athlete” on the field and in the classroom with her hard work, determination, sportsmanship and teamwork.

Gator’s Student Athlete of the Month

Lindsey Hendrix (Jr), Softball
Position | Pitcher

Lindsey was nominated by Coach Williams. Lindsey is our pitcher and pitches nearly every inning of every game we play. For the month of April she has 68 innings pitched, 76 strikeouts, and had only allowed 3 earned runs. Lindsey handles the pressure unlike any kid Coach has ever seen before. She gives it all she’s got, every single time she steps into that circle. She is a silent leader who her teammates look to every single pitch of every game. Academically, she maintains above a 3.0 GPA in the classroom and is part of the yearbook crew.

Lindsey attempted a few other sports besides softball when she was younger, playing volleyball and cheer. She started playing softball at the age of 7 and never looked back. Her college plans include attending Syracuse and pursuing a career as a child life specialist. She also enjoys hanging out with her friends in her free time and a little fun fact about Lindsey is that she is a twin!

A big shout out to Lindsey on a spectacular season so far and the best of luck to her and the softball team as they look to make another run at the state title this post-season. Go Wolves!
