Heather Klein, LAT, ATC
– Head Athletic Trainer
Heather is the Head Athletic trainer at Timber Creek High School. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training from Elon University in North Carolina and is also finishing up her Masters of Science degree in Health Administration at the University of Central Florida. Heather has been a licensed Athletic Trainer as well as a National Athletic Training Board certified Athletic Trainer since 2000. She is also a certified American Red Cross Instructor and teaches First Aid & Safety as well as Care & Prevention of Athletic Injuries. Heather has been employed at Timber Creek High School since 2001. Heather is originally from Wellington, Florida but currently resides in East Orlando with her husband Kris, their three children – Jenna, Tanner and Mattingly and their dog, Candy.

Samuel A Mizener, MEd, LAT, ATC, CSCS – Assistant Athletic Trainer
Samuel is the Assistant Athletic Trainer at Timber Creek High School. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training from California University Pennsylvania in 2001 and his Masters of Education degree in Health and Physical Education from the University of North Georgia in 2005. Samuel has been a Florida state licensed Athletic Trainer since 2006 as well as a nationally certified Athletic Trainer since 2002. He is also a certified American Red Cross Instructor and certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist by the National Strength & Conditioning Association. He has been employed at Timber Creek High School since 2006 and teaches First Aid & Safety and Care & Prevention of Athletic Injuries. Samuel is originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and currently resides in the Orlando Area with his wife, Denise and their two dogs, Einstein & Kanobi.

Joie Giannini, LAT, ATC – Assistant Athletic Trainer
Joie is part-time Assistant Athletic Trainer and most recent addition to the Sports Medicine staff at Timber Creek High School. She has been a National Athletic Training Board certified and licensed Athletic Trainer since 2016. Joie earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training in 2016. She currently is a full-time athletic trainer at Orlando Sports Medicine Group in Waterford Lakes. Joie is also originally from Sarasota Florida and currently resides in Orlando, Florida where she enjoys running, cooking, fishing, outdoor activities and live entertainment.
